Halal certification

Concept

A recognised body audits the product and issues a certificate.

Only a certificate from a recognised body proves halal status, because it covers ingredients, the factory, slaughter and cross-contamination. In the Philippines, certifiers are accredited by the DTI Philippine Accreditation Bureau. Check the logo, certificate number and expiry on the certifier's own website.
