Texas Flash Flood, 27 Girls Missing, 43 Dead
A catastrophic Texas Flash Flood in Kerr County, Central Texas, killed at least 43 people—15 of them children. The Guadalupe River surged about 26–29 feet in under an hour. Around 27 girls from a Christian summer camp are still missing, and rescue efforts are ongoing. Over 850 people have been rescued so far, and federal disaster support has been activated.
