Gelatine
Doubtful (mushbooh)
Haram if from pork or non-halal animals. Halal from halal-slaughtered cattle, fish or plant gels.
Gelatine is common in sweets, marshmallows, yoghurt, capsules and gummies. The source decides the ruling: pork gelatine is haram, while gelatine from halal-slaughtered cattle or fish, or plant alternatives such as agar and pectin, can be halal. Look for a halal logo or ask the maker for the source.
